Our 14 -15 (don't know her exact birthday) yr old kitty Frannie had to be put to sleep this morning. At first we though her age was just catching up with her. She was losing a little weigh for about a month, not a lot but she was always a bit on the chubby side but over the past few weeks she had really gotten too thin, and was constantly sneezing and not wanting to eat as much as usual. And just over the past 2 days she had been behaving similarly to the way Red did before he had to be PTS.
Got her into the vet first thing this morning and the vet says she more than likely had a sinus tumor...which was a thought of mine because of another kitty of mine Roo also had to be PTS a few years ago with an inoperable sinus tumor, only you could see Roo's, it was a huge bump between her eyes. Frannie did not have a bump.
It is hard losing Frannie so soon after her "brother" Red. She was a sweetheart and will be missed.
RIP Frannie 1994 - 2009
