I didn't even turn my TV on today

Am I the only one?  Honestly, I didn't even turn my tv on!  I have no idea what's going on or what went on in Washington DC today.  I'll probably watch the 5:00 news, but other than that, nothing!

My son told me they watched the inauguration at school this morning, so it's obvious he knows more than me at this point! LOL!

Did you watch the inauguration?   

Just to clarify, I have NEVER watched a past inauguration either!  So it has nothing to do with President Obama!  It's just something that I've never been overly interested in!  I don't like to watch tv during election time either!

Your inauguration is like my Superbowl. Walker and I plan to stay the heck away from not only football season, but sports in general.

We watced today. I've never really been into American politics, but I found this election incredibly exciting.

My Grandparents are into all that stuff. They watched Ford's funeral, Princess Diana's Funeral, all past inaugurations....

Everyone's different.

My schedule did not allow me to see it either. I will hear and read about it after the fact just like I do most everything else in my life.

I was just the opposite, I actually turned it ON. To watch PRESIDENT Obama's inauguration, the first one I have ever watched.

Leah, you're in Canada. You have the Grey Cup, Canada's answer to the Super Bowl. Anyway, I did watch and taped some of it for my friends at Mount de Sales, while also watching the last few episodes of "The West Wing" on Bravo.

I don't think I have ever watched an innauguration before, this may have been the first. It was interesting. I even let my boy stay at home from school to watch, he was bored with it. It was somewhat emotional at times. A camera showed a black person, with tears running down their face, I could almost imagine the emotion and pride that they felt. It was moving.

Nope no tv for me today. Actually, I'm going to bed shortly. I'm beat. I worked overtime today and cooked dinner and id some chores. I've been up since three. I'm sure it will be on the news tomorrow or the next day and if not there's always internet to catch me up. I usually don't watch it or anything political.

We didn't watch it either. We were watching Nick Jr when he was sworn in. ;) After Backyardigans went off, we turned the TV off, and haven't turned it back on, other than to look at Elliott on the baby monitor twice while he was napping.

I had the tv on this morning before work to watch the weather and school closings. WE got snow in SC today.

I was able to watch the swearing in from work on the computer. It is the first one I have ever watched. We also had it on in the conference room for anyone who wanted to watch it.

No, I didn't have the TV on at all either. I had a few important things that needed to be taken care of today, so I spent the first part of the day stressing, and the second actual doing what I needed to. I will watch the inauguration later in the week online or on TV if I get the urge(doubtful though given how much I hate politics as a whole).

I am totally not into watching present news and politics. I am very much a historian, but I could care less about the history currently being made. I would rather read about it and watch documentaries decades later. I find the past US history much more interesting to devote my time to than the current stuff. Yes, I focus on the past, sometimes the present, and rarely the future.

I'm sorry you missed it. The Internet bogged down and was crawling one word ever 10 seconds, so about 15 of us crowded around a 4" B&W TV in one cube. People in the next cube standing on the work surface to peer over the cubicle wall. Our building is more than a block long, and people on the far wall heard us cheering and came down to share our TV (because the net couldn't handle the traffic).

Hopefully, with the hard work of all Americans, we have the opportunity to make a better America and world for all. If it's better for others, it willb e better for your kids, too.
I don't like living in a country where there are so many who struggle...doesn't make my comfortable life as enjoyable as it could be.

I was home sick yesterday, but I didn't watch it. Nothing personal with Obama, just decided to catch up on some tivo. I have never watched that stuff. I will be watching what he is doing that does not have to do with the inauguration though. LIke policy changes and new bills passing you know the important stuff that deals wit our economy, foreign policy, etc.

Yep, watch it all day. Did take a few minutes to get some snow pictures since it snowed in SC which is very, very unusual. I love history and always have love it....this is history in the present!!! I loved it....every moment of it!!

I watched the innaguration as I have done all my life no matter who is the president.
I am so OVER the amount of people that are so in awe of all this stuff. I just had to turn Oprah off because she is seriously dipping in some miracle juice that she is so fascinated.

Forrest Whittaker was just saying that he thinks this is a new day and that people are going to come together as one...blah blah blah...
didn't everyone say this same thing in the first 2 or 3 months after 911 as well?

Seriously, I don't care what color this man is I just hope he does a good job and this guy Obama is NOT the Messaih !!!! He is a man that we have as president of the United States and he is a politician. I didn't vote for him but I think personally he is a cool guy but come on people....he is not our Lord and Savior !!! He does NOT walk on water.

I am really over the people that just think that the people in this country are going to all of a sudden become rich or do good things. It will only last for a few months then everyone will be back to their same ole same ole.
