He went to the vet today and it turns out he has a bad infection from a wound on his gum. We think it is probably from the other week when Junior smacked him....*sigh*
The tissue on his gum is dying from the infection and has to be removed in a couple of weeks after his course of antibiotic runs out. My niece said the vet removed some of it today just by rubbing it.
He got an antibiotic injection that is long acting which will last 10 - 14 days (54.00 just for that shot!) but we won't have to struggle giving him pills pr liquid antibiotics so that is good.
Also, his kidney level is high which could be from the infection or he is in the beginning stages of renal failure. We won't know until he is tested again. So he has to have special food just in case.
My niece also sid he was such a good boy there and was loving on everything, lol.
