Many parables and analogies have been drawn over the years from the tragic sinking of the R.M.S. Titanic. As Titanic's wireless operators rudely dismissed the ice warnings, many today ignore Biblical warnings as unwarranted paranoia, and it's messengers as fanatical pests interfering in their business. The Titanic disaster has provided object lessons for all of us in humility vs. pride, wisdom vs. foolishness, courage vs. cowardice, the relative value of money, and the brevity and uncertainty of life. The colossal ship that "God Himself could not sink" was very effectively sunk by men who arrogantly steamed at full speed through dangerous waters... A much broader analogy can be made as we compare the Titanic story with the Bible's prophetic picture of the end times, and mankind's coming day of reckoning. I pray you find this message enlightening, edifying relevant and comforting. Like many aboard that ill-fated ocean liner, multitudes of folks today eat, drink, party and plan for their earthly future, unaware of the danger that lies just ahead. The lifeboats were the only salvation of the Titanic survivors. Jesus Christ is our own eternal "Lifeboat" for all who will trust and receive Him by faith. The difference being, He has enough room for all who wish to come! The majority of the passengers and crew of the Titanic perished. Jesus said that the majority of mankind would also perish and suffer eternally because of rejecting His offer of Salvation (Luke 13:23-24). Most will blindly "party on" until it's too late, else they will seek to save themselves and others by their own futile efforts. Only those in the Lifeboat of Christ will be saved. Have you "gotten in God's lifeboat yet?" "All that the Father giveth Me shall come to me; and him that cometh to Me I will in no wise cast out." John 6:37. "Jesus answered, 'I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.'" John 14:6. http://www.raptureready.com/soap/johnson1.html

the way I know it now.
I could not see my need for Him,
my pride would not allow.
I had it all, without a care,
the "Self-sufficient" lie.
My path was smooth, my sea was still,
not a cloud was in my sky.
But then the way grew rough and dark,
the storm clouds quickly rolled;
The waves began to rock my ship,
my anchor would not hold.
The ship that I had built myself
was made of foolish pride.
It fell apart and left me bare,
with nowhere else to hide.
I had no strength or faith to face
the trials that lay ahead,
And so I simply prayed to Him
and bowed my weary head.
I saw God's love in brand new light,
His grace and mercy, too.
For only when all self was gone
could Jesus' love shine through.
He raised His hand and said, "Be still!"
He made the storm clouds cease.
He opened up the gates of joy
and flooded me with peace.
I saw His face now clearer still,
I felt His presence strong,
I found anew His faithfulness,
He never did me wrong.
I still have so much more to learn
as Jesus works in me;
If in the storm I'll love Him more,
that's where I want to be!

THE NEWS
Mark 13:28-37 King James Version
28 Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When her branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is near: 29 So ye in like manner, when ye shall see these things come to pass, know that it is nigh, even at the doors. 30 Verily I say unto you, that this generation shall not pass, till all these things be done. 31 Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away. 32 But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father. 33 Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is.34 For the Son of man is as a man taking a far journey, who left his house, and gave authority to his servants, and to every man his work, and commanded the porter to watch. 35 Watch ye therefore: for ye know not when the master of the house cometh, at even, or at midnight, or at the cockcrowing, or in the morning: 36 Lest coming suddenly he find you sleeping.37 And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch.
Although we can NOT know the day and time, the message is clear, the handwriting is on the wall, and the solution as clear as it can be in His Light.

God Bless and Good Light to one and all!
We can only trust in God.
