The Titanic and the Apocalypse

I did not know His love before,
the way I know it now.
I could not see my need for Him,
my pride would not allow.

I had it all, without a care,
the "Self-sufficient" lie.
My path was smooth, my sea was still,
not a cloud was in my sky.

But then the way grew rough and dark,
the storm clouds quickly rolled;
The waves began to rock my ship,
my anchor would not hold.

The ship that I had built myself
was made of foolish pride.
It fell apart and left me bare,
with nowhere else to hide.

I had no strength or faith to face
the trials that lay ahead,
And so I simply prayed to Him
and bowed my weary head.

I saw God's love in brand new light,
His grace and mercy, too.
For only when all self was gone
could Jesus' love shine through.

He raised His hand and said, "Be still!"
He made the storm clouds cease.
He opened up the gates of joy
and flooded me with peace.

I saw His face now clearer still,
I felt His presence strong,
I found anew His faithfulness,
He never did me wrong.

I still have so much more to learn
as Jesus works in me;
If in the storm I'll love Him more,
that's where I want to be!

How many of you have read the "NEWS?" God's Word and His plan is unfolding right in front of all too often and many's, blinded eyes........ Christians, PLEASE continue to reach out to the lost with God's life boat, The Gospel, while there is still time to do so!

THE NEWS

There are some who take exception with those of us who watch for the return of Jesus to rapture or snatch away His believers, those folks need to know that we do this because we are commanded to do it by the One we love. By doing so we are past the point of being prepared. We now are acting to sound the alarm, begging the world to come to Christ in faith, before their one and only door is slammed shut. When that door shuts, a time of travail such as has never been seen before will come upon the earth. That time is drawing ever closer and many Christians believe that just as the fig tree gives evidence of the coming of summer, the current world events commencing with the re-assimilation of Israel, manifest it's nearness. We don't want to be found sleeping but diligently working, preparing the way for others, for the advent of that time when we will depart this earth. That is why we do it.

Beautiful poem and statement Sandy. "As the days of Noah were, so shall the coming of the Son of man be." It is written for all who can see, but the world is still myopic at best with mostly eyes shut tight. Furthermore, impatience, intolerance, and a lack of faith will increase as the clock winds down for most until they can no longer ignore the facts and judgment is at their door.

Although we can NOT know the day and time, the message is clear, the handwriting is on the wall, and the solution as clear as it can be in His Light.
