We are having triple digits here. Right now I am drinking cold water. I know I'm dehydrated, so no more caffeine today. Caffeine is a diuretic.
The news also said we are having a Flex alert. So I'm not running the dishwasher or the washing machine. HA. Or the air conditioner for that matter. We have fans and do our best not to turn on the AC at all. Some of these renters run the AC 24/7. I don't see how they can afford to pay for it all. And it's noisy. I can't enjoy my patio at night. It sounds like a factory. Boo to noise pollution.
Anyway, I knitted for a while, but my headache forced me to quit. Hopefully drinking water and taking Ibuprophen will help with that.
Emergency rooms see four kinds of people on days like this: The elderly, people who work outdoors, children and athletes. Remember, by the time you feel thirsty it may already be to late. Keep your water handy and sip as you go.
