Today, I sat and watched CNN when I got up. The stories revolved around Paris Hilton, a WWE wrestler that killed himself and his family, what some star wore to a big event, and FINALLY only briefly a little about the Tahoe Fires. I get so frustrated that those things are all given equal time to the Tahoe Fires. Where are the priorities? I don't think that the death of the WWE family is any less tragic than any death, but for goodness sake, I don't need every dark, grizzly detail. Paris Hilton is not news at all and I am appalled that Larry King lowered himself to an interview with her. I couldn't care less about what the stars are wearing......do I make sense? Is it only me that feels there is no priority in news anymore? I love my news and I even like human interest, but I just think the lines are fuzzy these days !

*trying in vain to recall what I actually wrote*
Well...basically, this is the biggest issue I have with MSM today. It's so frustrating that the most 'googled' phrase leads the news, rather than information that has some substance, some relevance to our daily world, to our government, to our nation.
What a famous-only-for-being-famous young woman wears when sprung from the clink is far less relevant to my world than the fact that our VP claims that his position is not in the Executive Branch, and is therefore exempt from disclosure. Of any kind. HUH??? Yet, that hot-potato has been dropped...while Hilton remains on the news.
It's nauseating. It's disturbing. And it's the state of MSM today. *sigh*
