Vacations?

vacation, hmm, I know I have heard of that strange word before now. What language is it?

VAY CAY SHUN. No, can't say as I've heard of it. I know there are other words that end in "Cation" "Education", "Transmogrification," "Ossfication," "Petrification," Putrification."

Cation seems to insinuate becoming... so you are becoming vay now that school is out?

*ponders what vay is, and if it hurts much*

Here in our house vacation only means no school, or no work. BBQs on the back deck, filling the kiddie pool, and dipping the tootsies. And my in-laws coming for two weeks--a mixed blessing, LOL...

I am thinking of taking a few summer classes, that might help me with the club my friend and I are intrested in opening up. Besides that I will be BBQing every chance I get.

Your not out of school yet?!?!?!? My kids have been out 5 weeks. We go back to school in less than 5 weeks I think.

I am going on cruise to the Bahamas next month, It is going to be amazing!

I miss vacation time. Gas prices are affecting our plans. We still are planning on going to the beach but not as long of a trip. It's going to be really different going to the beach when we are taking our baby daughter who will only be 6 months old when we go. She's a good baby but we aren't going to stay a week this year.

Went to Nashville a few weeks ago. Had a great time.

We went to the beach already this year for a few days and now we are going again in July for a few days. The price of gas has not affected our plans at all.

Just got hired on as an internal temp and the position will last until September. I need the job but my husband and I met five years ago in August and we were hoping to get away to explore other areas in CA that he hasn't seen yet. We only moved here about 18 months ago.
But, we may still do an overnighter to Calistoga for a hot spring resort type mini trip.

I'm hoping to get a car within the next few weeks finally. When I do we are hoping to take a couple short vacations, perhaps visit my family in Philly area, go to Washington, DC one day, etc.

In September, Sarah and I will be spending 15 days in Europe. 6 Days in London then off to see Paris, Brussles, Antwerp, and Amsterdam. But we like to take it as it comes so you can never really tell where the two of us will end up. But we will be in Europe for two weeks. Also, with all my FF Miles, we may take a flight out to Seattle and then drive up to Vancouver from there. Maybe for new years?????

My husband and I, realizing we were growing apart and in danger of losing our family, left our old life and traveled for 2 years with our kids in a motor home. In a drastic effort to correct the course we were on, we left a great home, community, careers, etc. in Asheville, NC, and leapt, hoping the net would appear, for parts unknown. The image I had then was of our family standing naked on the edge of a cliff!

We had so many crazy adventures...like the time a tornado almost lifted our RV off the ground outside of Houston, and the time we carried an injured Loggerhead Sea Turtle in the back of our car 27 miles up the beach to the turtle lab at Padre Island! We traveled from Virginia to Arizona, spending as much as 5 months in one location depending on what we felt our intuition was telling us.
