Just a few things I need to get off my chest about being a nurse....(meant in good fun of course)
1.) No, calling me at home in the middle of the night does not mean you will get seen quicker or by your choice of doctor, remember, you called me at HOME that means I am not working!
2.) Yes, I understand that your child is feeling better, but if the doctor said they needed the medicine, that is what they need. I am a nurse remember?
3.) Nurses do get sick. We are around sick people, so it stands to reason we too will get ill. Yes, I do know all about germs and viruses, but that doesn't mean I am the bionic woman.
4.) I do get off work at 7 AM and I know you want me to join you are 8:30 and to you that seems like plenty of time to get there, but I have been working 12 hours and will be doing so again tonight, so I STILL will not be able to make it even if you give me a guilt trip.
5.) Nurses are caring and compassionate human beings, but they are also human, so back off and let them be just regular people sometimes too.
*** Like I said, all in good fun, but some people just don't get it sometimes !! LOL

Just joking. I would hope people do realize you work hard and your schedule may be different than theirs...
I'd think this TB traveler would have gotten through to people that we are building some mighty bad bugs out their just because people can't seem to follow doctors orders.
