Picture capacity here at Gather????

It took me forever to post my last post here at Gather (the one about my new "home"). The pictures in the post were not uploading at all, so I went to some of my photos and deleted the older ones.  After I deleted about 10 of them, the pictures in the post finally uploaded.  This leads me to my question:  Is there a picture limit here per person? How often do you all delete your pictures?  My camera is only a 6megapixel.  Do you all shrink your pics before posting them?  I appreciate anyone's help with this.  I would like to upload more pictures from our vacation, so I need to know if perhaps I need to delete some of my older pictures to make room for new ones.

That sounds like a good Kevin question. I saw on someone else's post that there is a limit but I don't remember what it was.
There is not a capacity limit on how many you can have. There is a size limit per image, but at 6, it shouldn't be meeting that limit. I've uploaded 10mp photos before. The smaller the photo, the easier it will upload, though. I now only take snapshots at 3mp to make them faster to upload. If I'm taking pictures for something- like the kids Spring portraits, etc, then I'll use a full 10mp. Anything I know ahead of time I want to reprint, I'll use at full size.

I don't think so. Gather has been rather slow and kind of fickle today. I ended up using another browser so that I can get around faster and post my stuff. Gather has off days.

I have never heard of a limit. Gather resizes photos to 550 w. I resize mine before posting and they upload faster that way. I think uploading photos has been a little glitchy ever since the upgrade.

I have seen people with hundreds of photos I really don't think there is a limit.....I have had issues with uploading before here on gather the motto is try try again.....lol!!

as a person with dial up, it makes it easier if the pictures are re sized. Its bothersome to sit and wait for huge pictures to load.

I'm sorry about the delay in responding here...I've been away from Gather for a period of time.

As others have stated above, there is no limit on the number of photos you may upload to Gather. However, each album can only hold a maximum of 200 photos. You also should always scale your photos in size to 550 pixels in width, but retain the DPI (dots per inch) setting. This will ensure that your photos upload a quickly as possible and have the highest resolution available.
