Do you go to the movies or Do you Netflix?

We have a 16 month old and that means we don't go to the movies, i know people do take babys to the movies but it winds me up so much when I have to listen to a crying baby or a screaming infant during a movie which i paid $10 to see that I won't take mine.

So we joined netflix and we just add stuff to the list.

Do you still go to the movies or do you Netflix (watch movies at home)?

Netflix is great but the library is free...
I love NetFlix. It's an expense I probably don't need, but I go to the theater a LOT less now. I've only been to the theater twice since we moved last June. Once was to see Wall-E at the discount theater, and the other time was to see "A Christmas Story" put up on the big screen by a local film group.

With NetFlix, I got started more for tv seasons on DVD. I still do that a lot, but I also do movies. I used it for lots of seasonal movies around both Halloween & Christmas, and I try to get it timed for a kids movie each weekend so we can have a movie night, too.

Neither. My uncle is a computer genius. He downloads the movies, and puts them on DVD and the family will rent them out through a system he made much similar to blockbuster. He always knows who has what and he has them on bookshelves so they are easy to look through. He also, on the same system, has a list of all the movies and info about them including who starred in it, a description about the movie and even a rating! It's great :)

I have a six month subscription to blockbuster, one movie out at a time. There is a Blockbuster hub right near us so if I watch it and night and mail it the next day, I have another movie the day after that. I have shows I like on TV on Tuesdays and Thursdays, so that works out about right for how much time I have for TV and movies. I would see a movie in the theater that is worth seeing on a large screen, but that doesnt happen much
Not all libraries are free for movie rentals, Lilith. Ours is $2 for DVD's, and $1 for VHS, with a much more limited choice than Netflix.

neither. I usually watch them on cable or rent from BlockBuster. (though haven't done that in ages) Theaters are way to expensive and I'm way to old to sit through a movie with out needing to get up at least once LOL
I'm on a 4 at a time plan, but I get about 8 discs per week, so I get around 28-32 discs per month, depending on when I mail them out. That's less than $1 per "rental" for me.

I download a lot of movies, but I still like to go to the picture show. When you have small children it's so much eaiser to stay home, but sometimes you need a night out and a good movie and popcorn is a good husband/wife date nite.

I go to the movies once in a great while (when it is a good kids movie worth paying to see or when we have a sitter for our 4).
We download movies for the Ipod to watch on the TV with a connector, watch alot of movies on free PPV channels (free to air), and basically don"t pay for anything. Last time we were in Blockbuster, we couldn't find anything in the new releases we had not seen that looked decent.
We used to use the Blockbuster home delivery rental, but cancelled it when we found FTA satellite.

Blockbuster, with their free in-store exchanges (the number you get depends on the plan you have). Plus, if you take movies, that you got through the mail, to a store, then they will send out the next movies on your list either the same day, or next day, depending on the time of day they were brought back.

I do Netflix. My husband and I have a two year old, so we know very well how hard it is to go to the movies. Besides, I can't make myself pay that much for a movie I may not like. The last time we went to a theater was because we had free tickets.

I just do the 1 movie at a time for $8.99 so after tax I pay less than $10 for about 4 or 5 movies a month. We don't always watch them right away, so this way we avoid the late fees we always incurred when doing regular rentals. We just wait until my son goes to bed and pop the movie in. It works great for us.

i use my bandwidth for other stuff and i have so little time on the PC in comparison to what I need that downloading is just a pain.

Netflix also gives me something other than bills in the mailbox.
