You know how sometimes they say when you fall in love you just know that it's the right person? Well, that's how I have felt lately. As some of you know, Jeremy and I have been dating for 3 months. We have been talking about getting married, but it was just talking, kind of planning, nothing definite other then the fact that we knew we would do it.
Well, last night he proposed to me. I cried. And of course I said yes.
We went to church last night as usual. We then went to dinner with a friend and took her home. Then we started talking just about stuff that was going on. Then I brought him to my office so I could let him listen to his favorite song. He loves Casting Crowns and his favorite song is East to West. The cd hasn't come out yet, but I downloaded the song and wanted to let him listen to it. So, we were here, me sitting at my desk loading Limewire. And then just all of a sudden out of no where he asked me if I wanted to marry him. I looked at him like he was crazy and said, "Well of course I do." I didn't think he was being serious. So I just turned back to the computer. Then he told me to look at him so I turned back around and he was just standing behind me. All of a sudden he got this real serious look on his face and said, "I wasn't planning to do it like this...." and then got down on one knee. I was just sitting here thinking oh my gosh he's really doing it. I was shocked and happy and suprised and who knows what else. And the tears started coming. I won't go into everything he said, but it ended with him saying, "...and I just want to know if you will marry me." My response was a nod of my head, a huge grin, and me saying, "You know I will!"
I don't have a ring yet, but that's alright with me. That's not what's important. We will go this weekend to look for rings and that kind of stuff and start the planning. We are going to have alot going on in the near future.
The date is set for October 20, 2007.

congratulations!
where's shannon? i smell a cyber bridal shower coming on!
lol
Congratulations, Michelle! I am sooooo happy for you. No wonder you have not been around much.
I wish you all the best!!!!!
I spelled your name wrong.
I think I got congratulations right~didn't I?
I'm in for that shower! Let's get planning!
L Cee and Shanny~ get to planning. We need the latest cyber bash
Jackie~ I'm used to it. Erryone misspells my name. Even teachers in school did it and I had to hand in tons of work with my name at the top. It's not like they didn't know. And, yes, you spelled congratulations right!
Please seek out premarital counseling from a reliable and experienced source. Your pastor may have suggestions. Consider going to an Engaged Encounter, too.
I wish you the best.
OMIGOD. if it is informal or anything YOU HAD BETTER INVITE ME......I live just up the street.....sorta!!!!!!!
Heather, once we decide what we are going to do I will keep you posted. ;) It can't be very formal...we only have two months to get it together. BTW...what comment did you see that didn't register?
...and Tory proposed after 3 months also. We had a year and a half of an engagement, but it was well worth it. Sometimes you just KNOW that you're meant to be with someone.
...and sometimes you KNOW you're supposed to be with someone but you stay engaged for 10 years and finally decide to tie the knot. NOT mentioning any names *ahem* *cough* Shanny...
Misheila~ Thank you!
Walter~ Thank you so much. I think it will be beautiful....especially since we are doing an outdoor wedding.
Rob~ Darn! You just ruined my wedding plans. I was counting on you to be my flower girl. How about ring bearer?
Lloyd~ My thoughts are that a ring is a thing. I'm not into all that consumerism. Yes, it will be nice when I get one, but it's not what is important. This is all about us and our love for one another. It's not about a ring.
Your date is coming up. Because of the distance in our homes and the paperwork we are going to have to do, we are planning for a wedding in Canada some time in early spring or summer of 2008.
Please keep the news coming. I love reading about weddings.
I read your other article about "plans" and I forgot to ask. I love the dress that you are wearing. What are your attendants going to wear? What is Jeremy going to wear?
What a wonderful idea for the bridesmaids. My cousin did something kindof like that. She and I are getting our briesmades dresses from the same place. I think I'll do all the same, but she did something cool too. Same skirt, but different tops, but in matching colours. So basically it looked like they all wore blue "dresses" (two pieces together that looked like one) but all the tops were different. I thought it looked really cool.
God comes through when we least expect it, doesn't he Michele?
