I am always surprised at which photos get lots of attention and which ones don't. Many times I think no one will even notice this one and I end up with lots of comments. Then I post one that I am sure is going to get lots of comments and not much action at all. It's like I get a couple of people who feel sorry for me so they comment. LOL Does anyone else get the same response?
Yes, the ones that you think will draw comments sometimes don't, while sometimes we are surprised by what does draw comments. It happens with the written word as well.
You just never know what will capture someone's interest! Or when! Sometimes I'll get comments on an image I posted weeks ago. How did they spot it? ????
Right now it's more sporadic than ever, with the 10-points-per-photo deal running. I think members are just all over the place, inundated with the amount of images being posted. When I go to someone's page and just sit and go through all of their photos, I'm always amazed at the amount of stuff I NEVER saw when it was originally posted. I'm also amazed at how much of it garnered little comments.
I do wonder about that sometimes! Seems like I can count on you more times than not, Marvel, to comment! Your first one many times & I appreciate your support! C):-)
you never know what will catch people's attention on gather ... although the photo points pandemonium is creating a lot of strange stir in the mix and prompting greed, envy, and paranoia amongst the gathered ...
No surprise here, anymore. It's exactly like you say, I post the sweetest pic or informative narative and ... nothing. I post a little something I just came across and ... BAM, tons of comments and votes. It's just weird.
It is a mess that is for sure. Does not seem to matter in the end. I suppose I am a bit discouraged that "junk" gets high ratings and high volume and the "good stuff" that is personal, original and "quality" seems to be lost in the shuffle.
Yes, I guess that's why it is a good idea to just go ahead and post it, it's sure to please someone and that's what counts. Junk and quality is different things to different people.
I just keep "keeping on"! I haven't changed the way I work here, which is to post quality images, or as quality as I can do with the little experience I have, and make sure I always return comment favors... but I've been getting quite the slack for it, so I'm not sure what I'm supposed to do anything.

Oh yeah. My biggest surprise was on an article I posted. It was really not anything special and I got more comments on it than many others that I spent much more time on.
