Very thin line

Hey Kailey- Remember your parents are there to guide but it is also important to have fun and experience some stuff in life. I don't know what type of relationship you have with your parents but maybe you could talk to them. Offer them something like taking on increased responsibilities at home and see if they will allow you a little more freedom (like an extended curfew) once you show you are following through on those things.

Also try to find someone else you trust to talk things through with. Perhaps you have an older sister or cousin or a cool aunt that's young enough or cool enough to understand where you are coming from and give you advice. I'm 4 years older than my youngest sister and often she and her friends would come to me for advice when we were growing up. (Her friends didn't have sisters or anyone else to talk to.) Hopefully finding someone trustworthy to talk things out with will help you see things more clearly and make up your own mind.

You're parents love you and are just trying to keep you from experiencing the same heartbreaks that they probably did. Yeah your friends are fun, but don't forget that your parents are wiser and have seen more of the world. Good luck!

I think you need to live your way and make your choices. We all need a good balance of good girl/bad girl. It will pay off to get things done when you need to, but once you do, go out and let loose! We can't be perfect all the time, heck, I don't know when I am perfect ever! If we lived the straightest life possible, we would burn out and lose interest in doing the "good girl" thing. So, like most of us are, try to find that good balance. Does that make sense?
