Do you open the door just to be kind?
Do you share a cheerful hello?
Do you do the right things using subconscious mind?
Do you feel your heart start to grow?
How many times?
Would you help a good friend whenever they call?
Would you lend a hand to a stranger in need?
Would you help someone up if they were to fall?
Would you do it just for the good deed?
How many times?
Could you put the needs of others before your own?
Could you do courteous things just for free?
Could you handle these tasks without being shown?
Could you do them for reasons you may not yet see?
How many times?
To be kind and courteous and love one another.
They are special and never deemed crimes.
The feeling is great just to help someone other.
So just ask yourself, How many times?

I hope your answers would be the same as mine......
always.........
Yes to all of the above.
Open the door with a smile and welcome with a hug.
Help friends and neighbors and even those we don't know...yet.
Look people in the eye as you smile and say Hello - especially when they seem to have lost theirs'.
I once saw a poster in my Mom's SS church Class that said:
the way to true joy.....
Jesus 1st
Others 2nd
Yourself 3rd
Very good, Mr. K. :-)
There are times that I have helped my friend, Cheryl, for gas money. And, that was all I required of her.
I say hello, usually when others say it first. Only because, I'm a bit shy at times.
Good Morning Myspace Comments
But the question how many times can go deeper, how many times would we do it for those who do not reciprocate or appreciate it. Would we do it for our enemies who wished us harm? Would we do it for the person who falls, can refer to a sinner, a criminal or even a murderer. How many times would we help or forgive all people??
Jesus Christ is the only perfect example and model. He loved, prayed for, forgave and saved everyone, even the ones who tortured him and crucified him.
Thanks for this reflection!!!
for sharing your lovely way with words,
sounds just like a Rapper!
Very good poem. Makes people check themselves out. Great result.
(I hope.)
But then things happened and I have felt attacked, I felt put upon, I have felt foolish, I have felt abused...and now when I would have rushed in to help or assist, I resist. Now I am more hesitant to help, because I don't know if I'll be turned away or shunned.... What used to be a great joy for me has turned into a second thought. Should I help? Should I stay out of it?
