When the dancing stopped Warm Robin was eager to try on the new leather dress her daughter made her. Little Feather followed her into the tepee she said,"I want to try on my new dress to Grandmother." Then she went over to her part of the tepee that was made just for Little Feather. She was struggling with the rawhide ties on the long cloak that was made by her Mother, Grandmother went in and helped her untie them. Little Feather said,"Thank you for loosening those ties Grandmother." Went up and gave her a big hug, which made Warm Robin so happy she decided to move to Oklahoma. Then she went to her part of the tepee to try on her new leather dress. Little Feather was the first to come out to show off her dress, she danced around humming a song. Searching Owl said to her,"My little one is so happy this day with the new dress that Mother made." "Oh look father Grandmother's dress is so beautiful she looks like a princess!" Now it was Warm Robins turn to proudly show off her dress. Then she turned to her Granddaughter and said,"It is you Little Feather not me who is the Princess."
Standing Feather had gone to search for roots, mushrooms and wild onion to make soup for supper; and was just returning to hear the laughter! Searching Owl came out to greet her then took the basket she was carrying and put it on the wood chunk table. "I want you to meet both of our Princesses." He turned and bowed to Grandmother first then bowed to Little Feather, picked her up and swung around in circles! Which made her break out in laughter also Warm Robin was laughing it was catching soon everyone was roaring!! Spirit Crow heard all the ruckus then came running to see what was going on with his friends. He grabbed Little Feathers hand and said," I have something to show my little friend, come with me." She looked to her Father for permission to go with Spirit Crow, he gave the nod that meant yes.
They were headed for the big fishing hole she knew this pathway so well. When they got to where the big fish were Spirit Crow said to her, "I have something for you my little friend." There was a pair of moccasins he had made for her that laced up the front to keep the snow out in the winter. She just stood there with the look of amazement on her sweet face. Then moved closer and gave him a big hug she thanked him for being so nice to her, always looking out for his little friend. Then they got down on the bank grabbing those big fish stuffing them in leather pouches. He said that they should head on back home as there was enough fish to feed many people.
Searching Owl was about to go to look for them it had been to long of time for them to be gone. He heard their laughter then walked up to meet them wondering what they had in the leather pouches. Eyah! He cried out we have fish for supper invite all people to feast upon them. When everyone heard him holler Eyah ! They knew something good was about to happen then there was all the big fish laid on top of the hot rocks they were starting to sizzle the smell was making the tummys grumble. Little Feather said, "Father look at my new mocassins Spirit Crow made for me." He glanced down and saw these mocassins, how nice they were made. Then he thanked Spirit Crow for giving his daughter such a great pair of handcrafted pacs.
Now Father started thinking, that she was 8 and he was 10 that somewhere in the future he would have a great man for his daughter.

The last line didn't make any sense. I don't think the father is 10 years old.
I was having trouble with the last sentence too. Is Spirit Crow 10?
Brenda, Anne, William, Marge.
Thank you all for commenting I appreciate this so much.
Did anyone read what Elsie Duggan had to say??
Where Searching Owl was thinking, that somewhere in the
future he would have a great man for his daughter!!! It was
right there and a couple of you didn't even see it! *smiles*
already there from my Mother, Gramma Rose, Greatgramma Ella. The
only thing was placing my people in a proper setting and giving them
a proper name such as Cherokee/Oklahoma. I did look in one of many
Native American books I have for that information. *smiles*

Hey little sister, thanks for the vote of confidence.
William you must think along the lines that Little Feather's Father was.
She showed him the moccasins with much joy on her face which set him
to thinking how much longer would it be before Little Feather and Spirit
Crow would become as one. Thinking she was 8 and he was 10. And I'm
not dropping anything right now William there's no reason to write when
nothing has come to me that I should write about dear man. In due time
I cannot be rushed into this I need a clear mind. *smiles*
something that has come up and needs to be taken care of. I
will certainly check in once per day to check messages.
I thank you for your clarification. I need to think a bit more about this.
Cristina I am so glad you enjoy it, that means you will be back for more. Thanks
I reread this story and now I see what the ending means. My mind must have been somewhere else. However, I'm still sane. Just ask Norma.
Did you locate where ever your mind was at? *smiles*
soon as I am finished but it seems to be doing quite

Thank you for your gracious comments.
Whoops, didn't mean to get side tracked on your article, Barbara.
Wanted to leave a few bluebonnets for you also.

cause the Big Boys are coming this time for inspection which I don't really like
one darned bit! That's the only thing I have to gripe about living here, every
thing else is just great. I just saved the dining room here for my family Christmas
