Have you joined the GREEN train team in the race to National Train Day? My husband Austin Cushing is the conductor, and we're trying to make it to the finish line before the other three trains. To win, we need three hundred people to board our train!To board the train, all you have to do is publish this green train image as your profile icon. You have to leave it as your icon until May 13th when the contest is over, so everyone will know what train you're on! Once you make this your icon, you board the train by commenting on this article with "I'm on board the Green Train team!"

Okay, when is the LATEST we can change out icons and still get in on time?
I think any time before the contest ends you can still join the train - but as the first train to reach 300 passengers wins, the sooner the better.
Yes, I agree it would have been a lot easier if we'd gotten to keep our own icons or if we could have modified the train icons to be different - but that's the contest rules, I didn't make them.

I love the double standards some of these 'serious writers' who are so seriously offended by a picture in their precious comment space have.
It's perfectly fine for you to bother me by leaving comments saying I'm 'raking in the money' and that's why I'm 'sticking up for Gather' for expressing my opinons on the upgrade - but someone how it's a horrible violation of your precious namespace to put a comment with a picture in it down?
Well, trust me, nothing over there is worth the time and effort of commenting on anyhow, so you won't be seeing any pictures from me.

Not yet -- the group has 375 members, but only 100 have done all of the steps necessary to count as Passengers (namely, donning the profile icon, joining the All Aboard group, and posting "I've boarded the Green Train Team" as a comment on the All Aboard The Green Train Team article. Gotta do all three to count as an official Passenger!
