I now know why our groups are "private" and have disappeared!

I wrote an article earlier trying to figure out where some of our groups had gone and why they were now showing up under the "Private" listings. I also asked the same question at the GatherAidStation and here is the answer:

Hi Michelle - you're right... it's been confusing lately with the group listings, and what happened was that anything that had adult settings changed to private status when you publish items to it. I'm not sure why Gather made this decision, but I believe it was to add extra security for people who have that content blocked.

I fixed my group so it is no longer private and now it no longer has any flags on it. You will still need to flag your own content, but the group is not flagged or it will go back to a "Private" group.
