What Is It?

I have posted a short series of photos in an album entitled "What Is It?". Some of them are cropped, and some are close-up shots, but all of them are images of smaller parts or areas of larger objects. The idea is to see if anyone can guess what the object is.
This is just for fun - I don't have any prizes to give out. Some of these are easy, while others will be pretty tough, but it will be fun to see if anyone can guess what they are, regardless. In a few days, I will post another pics of the whole object for each of the close-ups, along with an article to let you know the pics are up.
