Earlier this week, I posted a picture on Gather and made a little game out of it. I asked you to take a guess as to what the image really was a photograph of.
When I snapped the shot with my digital camera, I was a bit too close to the object and the reflection of the flash going off blurred the image so you really couldn't tell what it was. I thought it might be fun to see what all of you came up with when you looked at the picture I ended up with. I also decided to offer a prize to the person who came up with a correct guess...some home baked cookies made by me from one of my grammy's old fashioned recipes.
Some people didn't have a clue, as it could have been almost anything in that it was a round object. There ended up being 78 guesses in all. The most popular choice, with 14, was a light of some sort. Next in line with 12 was a coin; a penny being the denomination selected by most. Following that, with 8 gueeses, was the moon. I thought that's what it looked like myself; a full moon on a foggy night. It could have been a trick posting something like that, but that was simply too obvious. Then, there was a tie, with 4 each between a snow flake or a UFO. Well, guess what? None of these were the correct answer...so none of you get my cookies.
Before I reveal the solution to my little mystery and give you the answer, here's a review of what the picture I posted looked like......
Alright, Rob, just shut up and tell everyone who the winner was...and what it really was a picture of.
......AND THE WINNER IS......
NO ONE! :( That's right...nobody came up with a correct guess as to what this image really was. Do you know what that means? I get the cookies! Yay, me!!! I'm so surprised at all of you. I mean, I've been on gather long enough, I thought at least a few of you would realize how my warped brain works by now. You should know my mind slips into the gutter on occasion, so why would it be any different when having a little fun with this type of contest? That will teach you all. The next time I come up with a 'photography foul up'; think like I do and you'll have a much better shot at guessing what the shot is...and you'll come out the winner.
Oh, by the way, it was really an out of focus shot of a condom laying on the crushed black velvet blanket on my bed. Doh! I told you...you should have known. Now, how many of you were going to guess that...and didn't? Thanks everyone, for playing along, and better luck next time. Mmmm...I'm sure going to enjoy those cookies!

You should know my mind slips into the gutter on occasion Um ... on occasion? Can an occasion be constant?
Too funny!

Who said naughty? The above is the only naughty to me!
I have to laugh at Ruth. When I was a teen babysitting, my mischievous young charge found his dad's stash and blew them up. The funny thing was, at 14, I didn't know what they were either. I had to call my mom, who quickly referred these calls to my more knowledgeable big sister. I quickly destroyed the evidence and got the kids involved in a game of monopoly. I do know the couple had a baby the next year...so perhaps they were feeling a little frisky that night and found the condom box empty. And I've also wondered if they thought I was very active for a 14-year-old in the middle of nowhere and just stole their stash. I still think the mom looks at me a little strange when we run into each other at the grocery. I guess I should have just been honest.
I am hoping that it was a non used one.
For one, that's just gross. For two, that means your package doesn't take up much room and you didn't even have to unroll the beast.
