Help me with finding my old friends or family...

This is the link to my new group. I started this group because back in 1979 I left New York and my best friend Lorraine Enlow. I love her. She and I were closer than sisters. I think she is living in Middletown, New York, but her last name may have changed. Please if you know her let me know or let her know I'm looking for her. I have paid "Intellius: to find her but to no avail. I just get old addresses but no best friend. Two friends that shared a special bond. I miss her, so.

She said when I moved away that it was like a death.

If you have a similar loss, let us know and maybe we can use our sluething experience and find your friend. Please join my group and just comfort one another even if we can't find our friends, or family.

Have you tried MySpace? I found a bunch of kids I've known since I was 6 years old on there! Lots of friends from elementary and high school and the old neighborhood. Awesome to catch up with them and share photos. Hope you find your friend!

It's funny, I've been trying to find out if an old friend I'd heard died really is dead. Do you know how to find out if someone is dead?

You can go to the courthouse where they lived and check on death certificates.

I have tried for years to find my best friend ever Jolie Siefert. She moved to Juneu Alaska when we were 11 and I have never been able to find her since. I still miss her all these many years later. The other is Donna Diamond who lived near Troutdale, Oregon. Can't find her either. I would love to find both these dear best of friends from my childhood.

Carol ~ The only thing I can think of is contacting people who knew her? Do you know her siblings' names; or her parents; or her grandparents? I found a very long lost cousin once, defying all odds, by posting an inquiry through every email address that displayed under their name and giving enough information they could identify themselves as the person I was looking for. Even if her surname has changed, you could luck into a relative? I wish you well in your search.
