Tails U Win...My Muttly Crew : A Pictorial

I have three wonderful gifts! Each brought to me due to some sorry situation or circumstance. Each earning their place in my 'pack'.

1st and #1 dog  PD (It actually stands for Performance Design and is the skydiving canopy we use) Sweet Hershey Girl pretty in pink and Bocifus AKA BO'dammit'  and a few other choice phrases, rounding off the trio!

My #1 Alpha is PD ' the Monster" Steele she is a 3 year old Pit/Dalmation mix that I have had since she was just 5 weeks old. Born under a shed in Sumter SC just around Xmas time, she escaped execution by sheer luck of being the 1st one to come running out from under that shed on that chilly winter evening. The others in her liter were not as lucky and sadly taken to the local 'rescue' league. That local inHumane Society has a 'blacklist' of animals they have deemed unadoptable simply due to breed and PD and sibs were 2 for 2. She got to move to a beautiful island while all the others were 'put down'.

PD is in fact one of the sweetest dogs I have ever had and has since played foster Mama to many a stray and discarded pup we have fostered till we could find them forever homes.

PD loves digging for Ghost Crabs (little see thru crabs only found in NC) and chasing them around the beach. As you can see, she doesn't hurt them. she just wants to play

Ist she needs to sniff out the crab by finding just the right hole and then it is on! She'll dig away until she finds it.  So deep at times that just her fluffy white tail can be seen! 

And then it's play time! She'll even lay down and let the crab check her out. She's been pinched this way more than once. And always goes back for more! 

She also loves to play dress-up! Or enjoy quiet time with friends.. and even climbing trees!

Furry buddy Shadow hangs with us for a while! 

New Arrivals! Bocifus and Duncan were found in a dumpster in Wilmington, NC. The tech was just about to pull the lever to empty and crush the load when he heard a whimper. At first he thought it was a baby ...instead he found two furry babes! Bocifus became a member of our family and Duncan found a great new family to watch over!

Duncan blessed us with his company for a few wonderfl weeks and then made a new family very happy!

Bittersweet Farewells..

Joyful introductions as he meets his new family. I didn't give him up..I set him up for life!

 Hershey Girl joins our happy pack. Hershey was brought to me near death. The vet said she may have been without food or water for up to 7 days and we aere unsure if she would make it! She is my precious child and always happy and ready to cover you with Hershey Kisses!

 Then a little itty bitty thing, today she is a beauty with shiny hazel eyes!

After a long day at the dog park! Life is good!

Little Miss Dona was found in a crack house in Wilmington where it was 107 with no food or water. 4 of her siblings passed away and she and her sister will be on meds for the rest of their lives. Both were adopted by an angel and have wonderful homes on Oak Island today!

So Where's the beef?

I have been blessed with many animal friends who are always happy to share their time with me and offer nothing but unconditional love. Always ready with a wet lick and a wag of their tail! Remember with Tails U WIN!!
