My very favorite comedians are Laurel and Hardy (especially from the 30s!). They lighten my mood in an instant, no matter how many times I've re-watched that same old DVD. And of course I LOVE LUCY!!!
The Farting Preacher makes me laugh every single time. Monty Python, of course....basically, I like almost any humor so long as it isn't T & A humor (ie Benny Hill, and the like).
Yep, I like the Blue Collar Guys and Tater Salad kills me( although lately he's drinking a little too much while preforming and he's loosing his edge). :-(
I also like South Park mike, I didn't at first but it grew on me.
I still like M*A*S*H and watch it everyday after work.
I love all types of comedy. I love Gracie Allen. I like black and irreverent humor best. I don't mind when humor is a bit dirty, but when it doesn't need to be dirty to be funny and is, it disgusts me. Another favorite is Steve Martin.
I can find humor in just about anything. Movie wise I have been rather enjoying Ryan Reynolds in flicks such as Waiting and Just Friends. I also love this movie called Sideways don't know if you have heard of it and it stars Paul Giamatti, Thomas Haden Church, Sandrah Oh, and Virginia Madsen. Very, very funny. Anytime I need a good laugh I watch that one.
Hmmmm....I guess I lean toward British humor like Monty Python, Ab Fab, Hugh Laurie and Stephen Fry as Bertie Wooster and Jeeves. Love Christopher Guest et al. with their mock-umentaries. And Steve Martin. Especially "The Cruel Shoes."
My favorite is, and probably always will be Abbot and Costello. I like most of the older comedians. Bill Cosby is about as new as I like as a general rule. (Have you ever heard his routine on Noah?) I also like humor with a story, like the Thin Man movies, and some of the Marx Brothers.
Well, I liked Jack Benny, Bob Hope, George Burns and Gracie Allen, and I love Billy Crystal, Steve Martin, Chevy Chase, and all those guys on SNL, and I like the Tater guy too, and a couple more Billy has introduced me too, but I don't remember names, and I don't like foul language in jokes, I used to like George Carlin, until he began getting too political and then foul mouth,rf but I understand he has done a circle and is better again. I have a sense of humor and I like anything funny. Thanks for asking. I also saw Bill Cosby perform on stage maybe twenty years ago and then he was hillarious. We all get old.
I'm a fan of individual performances by comedians. For example, I don't like everything John Candy or Steve Martin did, but their performances in "Trains,Planes, And Automobiles" is one of my all-time favorites.
