Well, yesterday was actually somewhat warm for a change and there was a brief lapse between all the rain when it was nice and sunny, so Ma and I decided to take the baby out and roam around the yard to see what we could find.
Here was what it looked like when we first went outside:

Now I'm sure you understand why we decided to go outside in the first place. ^_^
The yard was pretty well covered with dandelions at every stage of life.

I found a bunch of these pretty little blue flowers growing around the perimeter of the house.

Then, a little further into the yard, there were these 'strawberry flowers' (or that's what Ma told me they were) that were growing in bunches.

On the side of the house, I found this plant. Can't tell you what it is, but I really liked the color and it looked really neat in contrast to the green grass that was growing all around it.

Just a little ways away from this, I encountered a busy little bee on some wild onion flowers.

In the back of our yard, the crab apple trees were in full bloom and they looked really pretty all in a row.
Behind our house, right beside the property line, there was a flower bush growing with clumps of red flowers. Not sure what it was (I think the neighbors planted it), but it was pretty.

I even managed to run into a clump of fungus growing on a tree, too!
All in all, it was a great experience. The baby had a good time walking around and playing in the yard, and Ma and I got to spend some quality time together. Besides, it's always nice to take time out of every week to get out and enjoy the beauty of nature, which we haven't been able to do on account of the rain.
Our little adventure ended there, though, because some really nasty storm clouds were rolling in. Well, that and some ferocious bees that kept buzzing around us and the baby....lol.
Thanks for sharing this little romp with us. ^_^ Sure, it rained again after that, but the lull between the storm was definitely well-worth braving the storm for.
