I drove to Fergus Falls, Minnesota last Sunday, to see my Daughter-in-law & grandchildren. My Step-son wasn't there at the time & I knew that, but I was counting on seeing her & the kids. Unfortunatly their cell phone was turned off, so I was unable to let her know that I was coming. Granted I'm from Texas, & was just visiting at the time....there was no way she would have been expecting me.
Well, I got there, knocked & knocked & finally the upstairs neighbor opened her door & told me that they had left for the weekend, to go down to visit with her parents in Minneapolis. I was so dissapointed! It's been about a month & 1/2 since I've seen the grandkids...and I was missing them!
Sad, I left her a note & pushed it under her door & then left. Meanwhile, I was hungry. My plan was to take them all to lunch while I was there. Now I was looking for lunch...for 1.
I drove around a little bit. Really just trying to see if I could find a coffee shop of some sort where I could get something to eat too. Failing to find one, I decided to go & eat at the Jazzy Fox Bistro. It looked interesting & was in an interesting, old-downtown area of Fergus Falls. So I went in.
I was the only one in the entire restaurant...and I was seated right away, but not given a menu. I asked for coffee & ice water. He brought it right away & said "Go ahead, everything's ready" I had no idea what he meant. So I sat there for a few minutes before I realized there was a huge buffett sitting there, all overed up, so it wasn't that easy to spot. But I was ready!
So I walked over & some servers came over & opened each tray & told me what the food item was inside. Scrambled eggs, southwest scrambeld eggs, spare ribs, salmon, omelettes made to oder, french toast, biscuits with sauage gravy, cinnamon rolls & more!
Loading my plate with way more than I could eat (I've had a gastric bypass years ago!) I sat down to dig in.
I grabbed some fresh fruit, a little bit of salad with walnuts & raspberry dressing, 4 pieces of think sliced bacon (I love bacon!), some southwest scrambled eggs, southwest breatkast potatos, a cinnamon rolld....a couple of cooked carrots (which I never did eat), and a nice piece of hot salmon.
Delicious! I sat down with my plate & I realized it was worthy of a picture....
and then I started taking pictures of the restaurant inside & out. They also had a piano player in there, playing some wonderful music.

When I was done & he brought the bill.....I was surprised to see that my brunch buffet cost me $16.00 - but it was absolutly worth it! Every single bit. Oh, they offered me a complimentary Mimosa when I first got there too...but I turned it down.
If you ever find yourself in Fergus Falls, Minnesota - check out the Jazzy Fox Bistro~
