Last night, Gilly was crabby, more so than normal. I chalked it up to her having a bad day, and when she fell asleep on the sofa, I left her there to sleep. When we went to bed, I stuck in a dvd, and occasionally heard her coughing, but she was asleep while she was doing it, and it wasn't anything bad.
About 2, I was almost asleep when she woke me up coughing and crying. I brought her into bed with us, and calmed her down, and she fell right back asleep. Just as I was almost asleep, she started coughing. Then, she started throwing up all over the bed.
Poor lil thing. She keeps waking up to the same routine. It's been an insanely long night, considering I was almost asleep twice, and yanked from that nice cozy state so abruptly.
We were supposed to take my niece Alex today for 2 days, but I went ahead and texted my sister in the middle of the night letting her know Gilly's sick, and that we have to back out. I know she needs a sitter tonight, and it puts her in a tough position, but I don't want Alex getting sick. On top of that, it's hard enough watching a toddler, let alone when you have a sick child to take care of.
I'm probably up for a bit now, until Nick gets up (he got up with Gilly, but was able to fall back asleep). That way, I can sleep while he's able to take care of her. Also, laundry in the middle of the night. At least she managed to contain it all to 1 blanket.

Once Gilly woke me up throwing up, I couldn't sleep. She got up a few more times to do it again, so it was probably a good thing.

Poor baby!! Hopefully its just a 24 hour virus or something she ate that will pass through her system quickly! my youngest was sick a few weeks ago to the point we had to rush him to the hospital because he wouldnt quit thowing up. I know your sister is disapointed but i am sure she will understand and there is always another night.

Oh my, it can be any number of things. I do hope it's a quick viral thing that she gets over soon. Poor baby, I just hate when they get sick.
Poor little Gilly! I hope the bug passes quickly & that she is done with the trowing up part.
Hope she gets to feeling better soon. I hate those nights when you feel like you can't do anything for them and they're just miserable.
