Today is the last day of school. Raegan overslept, so she'll be a few minutes late. Chris wants badly to go today, so I talked with the school yesterday, and I'm bringing him to school, then staying to help in Gilly's class. This way, if there's any problems, I can bring him home.
It's only a half day, so I have my hopes that it will go all right.
Today, I'll have Raegan help me set the tent up one last time, but it won't stay up, since it is once again supposed to rain tomorrow. I'll have her help me with the canopy, as well.
I had promised the kids weeks ago that when we had the yard sale, they could earn extra spending money for our camping trip. We kept having problems, and never got it done. I decided this week we're just not going to try it right now. We'll do it later in the summer, and try to get some extra money to have us all visit the zoo for the day, I think.
Anyway, to make up for it, I have a coffee mug full of change that I am going to cash in, and divide between all of them. We also have a huge mountain of soda cans and bottles that could be turned in for deposit- these are built up over probably the past year. We hardly ever return them.
In the change jar, counting the 2 $5's and 2 $1's I have in there, I'll have enough to give the kids each an extra $10. From the can's, they'll likely get an extra $5 each. That'll bump them up to $35 each without eating into the budget at all. They have $20 of it right now. Chris has an additional $5 he got from Nick's Grandma.
So, anyway, I need to get dressed because I'm sticking around the class today. See ya'll later!

Last friday was our kids last day. Hope they all have a fun summer!
Yesterday was everyone except Jessica's last day, hers is today.... half day too. That is neat they let Chris go back to say goodbye to his friends for the summer.
So when do you guys leave for your camping trip??
We leave on the 22nd for 5 days in Wisconsin!! It's just me and Erica (she's almost 17) and we're going to see Bon Jovi play!!!
We leave next week on the 10th, and get home on the 16th. :)
I'd love to go see Bon Jovi play!

Yesterday was Roshane's last day, and so far he is enjoying his "freedom". I am hoping to make a trip to the library today.

I hope everything goes well at the school today. My kids have been out for a week now.
Technically yesterday was Haley's last day, but she hasn't been to school since Monday morning. After her promotion ceremony we were told that not only could we sign her out early that day but they would not be taking attendance the rest of the week so she didn't have to come back if she didn't want to or whatever. Does that seem crazy to you? Why even have school if no one has to come?

That is odd! When Rae was in kindergarten, my grandparents drove up to watch her "graduation", and wanted her to come visit, so we didn't have her go the last day of school. There was one child who wasn't there today, he left for Texas this morning, apparently.
