Well, things are actually working out. With the stress that was happening due to the school resolved, things have just kind of gotten easier, ya know?
We have sitters for all 3 kids, so we ARE going to Cedar Point. Now, the only problem is WHEN. It's supposed to rain on and off all day on Tuesday in Sandusky. Our plans were to drop the kids off on Sunday, go down at some point on Monday, relax, get to the hotel, maybe go out to dinner, etc, then go to the park on Tuesday and head home that night after it closed at 8.
Now, however, we're going to head down way early on Monday, go to the park that day, then to the hotel for the night afterwards, and take our time coming home on Tuesday. It might actually work out better, since we won't be going on like 5 hours of sleep when we have to drive all over to pick the kids up on Wed, too.
Tomorrow is the big zoo trip for me and Gilly. We're going to Binder Park Zoo in Battle Creek. I've never been to that zoo, and it's a nice one, so I'm excited. I made all the name tags, start to finish except printing them out. I designed them, cut them out, glued them to poster board, laminated them, punched holes in them, and added safety pins.
Gilly and I are going to be in the Yellow Bird group. I wanted purple monkies, but ah well. The tags are reusable, so her teacher can save them for other field trips next year.
Saturday we are doing our yard sale. Hopefully, we can make $100-150. It'd be nice, anyway.
Sunday we're driving over to drop the girls off and hopefully pick up the van. I didn't talk to Dad last night- I need to call him tonight and see if he was able to pick the van up yet, or not.
Nick swapped shifts- tomorrow he's working 8-5, instead of 11-8, so it'll be an early night. We'll get tables and stuff ready tomorrow evening for the yard sale, and then just set stuff up in the morning. Which reminds me- I need to go get signs. See, all the signs I painstakingly made last week are in the van. Oops.
I also need to post it on Craigslist, and get some soda & water for the girls to sell. Hopefully, we can make a bit of extra money from all this.
Tomorrow is also Nick's birthday. Yay! His mom couldn't remember how old he'd be, and made him older than he will be. Figures. I'm surprised sometimes that she even remembers she HAS a son.
I think I also got Nick talked into doing the 4th of July camping trip. My aunt mentioned that since we have a tent, we can just camp on their site- they have a seasonal lot this year, and you can have 1 tent and 1 camper, or 2 tents set up on any site.
That means we won't have to go down days earlier- we can go down on Friday morning, and leave on Sunday. I'm excited!
That means today is my last "rest" day for several days upcoming. Oh, well, I'll survive! Man, I can't wait for Cedar Point. I'm so excited!

Awesome. Glad things worked out.
You will probably feel better anyway doing Cedar Point on monday and getting a full nights rest before driving back.... that park can really wear you out and sleeping while drowsy is not a good thing!!!
I hope you have a blast!
Sleeping while drowsy? ;) The park is only open until 8 Mon-Thur this week, so I wasn't too worried about it. If it'd been 10, I wouldn't have attempted driving home afterwards. But this means we can relax afterwards instead of sitting in a car all night!
I'm so excited!
Sounds like you have a pretty packed weekend. I think we were going to have a yard sale, but no ones said anything more about it. Good luck with your yard sale and hope you do well! I posted our last one on craigslist and I got offers after the yard sale on certain items I had specifically posted.
Sounds like everything is working out. Good luck with your yard sale.
I'm so glad you are going to get your break. You really need it. Good luck with the garage sale. They are a lot of work, but a great way to make some money. Have a great weekend.
Sounds busy! I hope things go as planned and you get to relax some.
Sounds like you've got a lot going on. Hope you have fun in Cedar Point.

We're going to PF Chang's on Sunday, yummy, to celebrate my daughter's 11th birthday and her getting accepted into the honors program at the middle school. I'm looking forward to that but not to the fact it also marks the end of the school year. No more quiet home for mom.
That is great, you guys deserve some alone time together
It all sounds like fun! Except the work involved for the yard sale, but I hope you make ots of money & havea great day doing it.
Have fun at the zoo too!
Ugh! I need to have a yard sale. I just don't want to think about it.
