Shopping with Rae

I'm heading out the door again, so this is just a quick post. I took Rae this afternoon to Goodwill, and told her to pick what she wanted. This wasn't so much a Birthday gift, as some much needed summer clothing. She found 1 pair of Mudd jean shorts that look brand new, about 10 new shirts & tank tops, and a purse for under $20 total.

I also grabbed the game of Life, Pirates of the Caribbean style! How awesome is that?

And later, when I have time, I'll tell you about the mother who disrupted the entire store, because she can't make up her mind and couldn't figure out if she should tell her toddler yes or no... for almost 30 minutes. ugh. Kids screamed the entire time. But, I'm running late, so I'll give that complete store later!

That's great! My Goodwill gets alot of new stuff from Target and they seem to want full price for it half the time.

I like meandering through our local Goodwills. We have two of them that stock the new items from Target and JCPenney. You do have to watch the prices though... it's often better to get them on clearance at the regular store!

I love bargin shopping! My daughter loves it too because it is not only more economical but you can also find cooler stuff and it's environmental too.

Sounds like quite a deal, and I'm looking forward to hearing that story. I'm back at the resource centre on a computer that moves faster than a slow snail. LOL I can't wait to get my laptop back!!

Love the deals at used clothing stores.
Our Goodwill does get stuff from Target in all the time. It's not horribly high priced, at least not clothing, but it's not always a great deal. If I can find it on half price tag week (each week, a different color tag is half off), or in the clearance side, it's fine.
That's great. I do most shopping at the America's Thrift stores. I was able to purchase a practically brand new computer monitor for less than $15. It only had a scratch underneath the bottom of it, and the best part about it was before I paid for it I was able to test it to ensure it worked!! That monitor would have come in handle now, thanks for reminding me where to go get another from. So we can get the kids up and running.

I can't wait to hear the crazy mom story! I really like Goodwill but can never find anything for myself. Most of the time they don't have any of my kids' sizes either! I did find an adorable dress for Amara's birthday for only $2 and that was the only thing in the store that was her size that was nice or that she would wear. For Jason I had an endless supply of choices! He needs nice clothes for school but doesn't have much. Most shirts are $3 and they have TONS in his size!
