I took myself down to a small park today for about an hour just to get a good feel of my new camera. There is a river, spring flowers, green buds on trees, signs, and an old courthouse at the park, so it gave me plenty of objects to shoot today.
I need to fiddle with the camera some- it has a mic, and should have sound, but I'm not getting any sound when I record video yet. I'll look through the manual some more later, and try to figure it out.

The photo below is a closeup of a bug I didn't eve see on the daffodil until I uploaded the photos!

Susan, I'll post it there shortly!
Thank you everyone- I am enjoying my camera greatly! This weekend, we're supposed to get rain, rain, and more rain. Time to start decluttering the house, I think!
happy birthday
Congratulations on your new camera. I am impressed.
Michelle, that sounds horrible :( In the small town we used to live in, there was a brand new park built with a fun play-scape for the kids. It was right behind an apartment for low income housing, and there were always a lot of kids there. Unfortunately, some of them felt the need to spray paint and use permanent marker to write crap all over it. :( We only took our kids a few times before the words got to be too much to deal with.
