Is it wrong that I want to take Gillian to a movie, simply so I have an excuse to go to that movie? ;) The Hannah Montana movie came out yesterday, and Gillian is a huge fan. I like Miley Cyrus as well. Sure, she's messed up a few times, but considering what normal teens do, she's practically a saint. Anyone whose life is in the public eye 24/7 is going to mis-step now and then.

I looked at the cheaper theater in Lansing, and it's playing there. I'd prefer waiting till it's in town here, since this theater is even cheaper, but it's also very run down, kinda uncomfortable, and a little gross.

Gilly's been helping around the house today, and she lost a tooth this morning (thanks to Chris socking her in the face last night, and knocking a previously not loose tooth, loose).

I'm considering taking her in to see it, but we'll see. We do have a lot I wanted to get done today- dye the eggs, make 1 or 2 cakes (I have a small bunny pan, but I don't remember if it takes a full cake mix or not), clean up the house, etc. Plus, the kids have the movie Bolt coming in from Netflix today.

We'll see.

What's funny, is I had these pictures in mind when I started this post. It took me a while to track down the right dated folder, from when I took them. I had it in mind that they were from January or February of 2008. Turns out, I took these photos on April 11th, 2008- one year ago today!

Not at all. I borrowed my nephews so I could see Nemo and I'll borrow them again so I can see Monsters vs. Aliens.

Miley is doing a job, she is acting for one's entertainment. That is all she owes her "public" How she behaves in her real life is her and her parents problem. I am so glad my sons or me for that matter, lives were not so public. Enjoy the movie

I could not find anyone to drag along to the movie, so for the first time ever I went to the theater on my own yesterday. This movie was totally worth it. I got the first showing deal, but this one movie I would not have minded paying full price to see. I will definitely actually buy it when it comes on DVD. I like the show, but I loved the movie. I am partially biased to just loving it for the country songs in it, but the plot was surprising deep.
Haha! I think we ALL do that. Many years ago, before I had my own kids, I had six nieces and nephews and yep, I'd take them to the movies (because I wanted to see the movie).
I've gone to the movies alone before, when the kids were driving me nuts, Nick would send me out so I could get a break. At first, it felt like everyone was staring! ;)

Earlier in the week I took Elena and her boys to see this 3D Alien movie that I wanted to see. I think I enjoyed myself more than the boys.
Miley Cyrus vs Brittany Spears as a role model? (Even when Brittany was "new")
Miley wins every time.
Take her to the movie, get the big popcorn and the sodas, plus some candy, and have a good time.

We'll probably buy the movie when it comes out on DVD. My husband and son watch the show together sometimes.

I always tease my husband and say the only reason he even wanted kids was so he would have an excuse to watch kids movies. In fact last night when we went to Target, Elliott was picking out a DVD, and my husband was trying to convince him to pick out the classic Horton Hears a Who DVD, or the movie "Bolt." when Elliott chose a Thomas movie instead, my husband still bought both of the ones he wanted. lol

We just got Bolt tonight on Netflix, but ran out of time to watch it, so it'll be a late afternoon treat for tomorrow :)

It's so funny that I came to this post. I actually did take Maddie to the Hannah Montana movie tonight for an Easter present. My husband was home playing cars with our son, and we took off.

The movie was ADORABLE by the way. I really enjoyed it and so did my five year old daughter. She was even dancing at one point.
