Well, I had such big plans for today. I was to drop my son off at school, go to work (about 40 minutes from home) then come back and do some holiday shopping in the next town over.
Well, apparently the Lord had other plans. My little one is home with an upset stomach and exhausted. So there goes work. I gave him saltines, coke and had him rest on the couch for about an hour. He feels much better so we think maybe we can run to Costco and Borders as we are making these choices it started to snow.
Big beautiful flakes. By the time we were dressed, teeth brushed and ready to go it had accumulated around an inch of heavy snow. The flakes are about the size of a quarter and it is coming down hard.
I scraped off the car and had it warming up, took the pups out. Then we got in the car drove out of our neighborhood and then turned around and came home. The main road is covered in snow, people are creeping and the snow is coming down so hard you can barely see. On the way back to the house I thanked my son for staying home for school, as odd as that sounds I would have been trapped over 40 minutes away in a blizzard scared out of my wits! It seems everything DOES happen for a reason.
So now we are ensconced in the warm house. Enjoying the snow and I am getting ready to make a fire and some cocoa!!!
