Why can we not use his middle name? Why do we treat him as an untouchable. Enough. Is he ashamed of his middle name? If he were to become president, would we not use his middle name?
Richard Millhouse Nixon
John Fitgerald Kennedy
Hillary Rodham Clinton
William Jefferson Clinton
So, why now we can't say, "Barack Hussein Obama"? The media loves this guy, and I don't dislike him, but the reasons are scary. He has no baggage. He has no background. So, let's call him his full name.
He is Barack Hussein Obama. There I said it.

He is in favor of a UN tax on Americans. That is reason enough. I wondered why a first term freshman Senitor was running for President and now I know. He has the backing of CFR and Bilderburg.
I gave you 10 to off set the Obama fans that hide in the shadows.
I live in a very diverse area near Chicago and we have all sorts of names and religions here. When Obama was standing on the street corners of Chicago handing out flyers I have to admit I did a double take when I was handed one on the southside of Chicago and I'm African American. I thought Barack Who? Then I got more info and said OK, I can vote for this guy and that just may happen around America.
BTW I have a have a middle name that is English in origin and I never use it in business because I don't like it. I never use it when signing documents either including signing checks.
A rose by any other name would smell just as sweet.
And Michael is right...you cant pick your name.
Yes he does have a background. Yes he was in Muslim school...not by HIS choice but his parents.
Gerald Ford was adopted....so what did we REALLY know about his biological parents?
Larkin L. The Republicans are the ones making a big deal out of it. Why are they-Republicans-doing it? Why is it necessary to call Sen. Obama by a name that clearly he does not use? They my friend are the Republicans and perhaps one of them-Republicans in the gather community-will answer that question for you.
Dont you realize Carol that by playing into this stuff you help to make a process that is ruled by money and polls and very bad religious theology even worse. Remember what a good american and fine Christian gentlemen Tom Delay was
"Can't I call you something else? Huh?"
I say, "Okay, call me, Neet. It's only supposed to be for my family and friends, but go ahead, darn it!"
Hahahahahahahahaha! I tell them, "If you cannot even say my first name. You would go into coronary arrest with my middle name. Forget it."
As the Bible says, "you guys are swallowing at a camel and straining at a gnat."
This is not just fun, it's funny.
Example:
Barrack
Barak
haha!
But he is getting a great deal of free press, which is great for him.
"Well! I've often seen a cat without a grin," thought Alice; "but a grin without a cat! It's the most curious thing I ever saw in all my life!"
~"Alice in Wonderland" by Lewis Carroll~
Personally I was raised (and my kids are) that your middle name is only invoked when you're in trouble, or included for certain forms. You certainly don't use your middle name in every day speech.
Why would it be so upsetting to you that it is not used for a candidate? Is it because you want to create this fear that he is somehow related to Saddam Hussein? Or suggest that he must be a terrible muslim terrorist feeding us special happy messages to delude us into believing he could be president? Hmmm...
Bill Clinton was born William Jefferson BYLTHE (Clinton is his step-father's name)- it doean't sound quite as presidential does it? I find Obama's middle and last names ironic, but don't judge him at all for it.
To the person who wrote that Ford was adopted and questioned his biological parents, I am sorry, but what a stupid statement. Many people in my family are adopted- they can not change the circumstances of their birth nor the unknown people that parented them. It is hardy the same thing as a name, which you can change or choose what you are called or not called.
Personally, I like President Obama a lot better than Barack Obama and you might hear that a lot.
I can think of a dozen commercials...
I think he should embrace his name... it has a positive translation. And, the gist of it is - he's a "jr." for goodness sakes. He has his father's name.
Obama should embrace his name. He's actually using the nuttiness of the far right to profit off it. Poor little old me, abused because of my name.
William Jefferson Clinton should've said he smoked and did everything else he had a chance to do in his youth (his old age too, apparently).
Hilary should show her taxes and proclaim, "Heck, that's a lot of money, ain't it?"
McCain should shout, "I'm a hot head. Deal with it". Eventually, he probably will...
Obama should stand up and say, "My name is Barack (sp) Hussein Obama, Jr. And, I want to be your president.
Then again...that "Jr." just isn't working for me.
LOL
