Barack Obama is related to Bill Cheney. Is that not weird? They are like 8th cousins. I thought I had to share that. I hope Mr. Obama is not too upset. Maybe he's a republican as he is the first Democrat that has made any sense to me in years.

AFTER my hubby and I got married - his mom sat me down and was telling the family history andwe figure out his grandma and my grandma were 2rd cousins - imagine our surprise!!!
My wife's daughter is married to Les Huckabee and Les is a cousin or something of Mike Huckabee. Guess that makes my wife a shirt-tail relitive of Mike's
I wonder if Chaneys relationship is on Obama's mother's side or his father's.

This French Huguenot's son married the granddaughter of a Richard Cheney, who arrived in Maryland in the late 1650's from England, said Ginny Justice, a spokeswoman for Lynne Cheney. She told MSNBC the relationship was eighth cousin. But last month, the Chicago Sun-Times traced it as ninth cousins once removed.
Goes to show you, when you really get down to it, aren't we all related?
