I am quitting my job!

I want to write.  Gather has given me a start to do what I do.  I have taught for fourteen years to some of the most ungrateful lazy good for nothings; on the otherhand, I have taught some of the most wonderful people who any teacher would be proud to call their own.  If you read my essay on Bethany, you know she is one of the many blessings in my life.  However, I'm getting tired of begging people to learn what I love.  I get tired when I read that the president of my college where I have taught for six years and more makes more money than anyone else in the state that includes the governor.  Well today, they asked me to teach a five hour class for three hours of pay.  The class has only nine students, and they can't afford to pay me more.  Fine, I didn't answer.  I came home and figured out what I'd make, and it's not worth the gas.  So tomorrow, I will thank them for giving me the privilege to work there and say, my adioses. Yes, today adioses is a word.  Tomorrow, I begin freelancing fulltime.  I may not make a lot of money or even a dime, but I won't be taken advantage of anymore.  I won't show up to a class with no students because they had a game last night.  I won't go to a class of unprepared students because "My grandma's dying."  "My horses got lose." "Your class is too hard, I didn't read that because I don't understand big words like you do."  I'm burn't.  I'm fried.  Stick a fork in me: I'm done!
