The stupid sign made for Jay Leno.

I stood in UPS today.  I had bought so much that my husband made me ship it home, and we're not done.  We have another week.  So, I'm in UPS and I see this sign.  I had to ask the lady what the sign meant.  She looked at me and as if I were the stupidiest person in the store or maybe the world, she explained slowly so my brain could soak it slowly.

"It means that you get 50% off items we don't have."

Out of Stock

Items!

I asked her to show me an example of an item that was out of stock.  She pulled up a package of tacks. 

"See!"  She muttered.

I answered, "I see, so the item is not out of stock."

"Yes it is, and it's 50% off."

It's easy to understand now that she explained it so clearly. You get 50% off of everything they are out of unless they have some to sell you at 50% off. Yeah, that's it I got it now.
