"For the WICKED"

How did you think that
eel would feel
When sliced
and diced
So that you could bite
it twice
like candy
that swam in
and never made it
OUT ALIVE
Such is the fate
of those
destined not to
SURVIVE
A slice of the soul
or a dice of the heart
All due in part
to the flow
of the river
and the ebb
of fate
Never too late
you say
To repair
cold stares
and icy glares
from wicked places
that hide behind faces
that have not the
KNOWLEDGE
of LOVE
A sad tale
that lives everywhere
and yet nowhere
at the same time
It finds no place
to rest
Because there is no rest
for the
WICKED

no rest for the wicked, so true
loved this poem
THANKS FOR SHARING
Thank you for reading my poem and commenting Dawn and Larry.
This speaks to me so well of the full range of lfe that I see every day. Those who have lived to serve others with such love and dedication passing painfully and those who have very little care of others, running each other off the road. I hardly know how to define wickedness, I feel it when it comes near me but cannot easily define it as we all dip into behaviors that are unfortunate and hurt others and to say that any of those behaviors make one wicked might be too simplistic but you do know when you come across it. Great poem Rene, it really got me thinking.
Hi Karen ~ A stark contrast you have presented us with in terms of this poetic piece. I'm thinking about what you've said . . .
"This speaks to me so well of the full range of lfe that I see every day. Those who have lived to serve others with such love and dedication passing painfully and those who have very little care of others, running each other off the road." ~ Karen E.
You've mentioned how you can "feel" wickedness when it comes near you... I agree. It is a tone, a facial expression, an aura, a pervasive darkness that evades the atmosphere and disrupts the spirit. It is what I call ~ "A disturbance in the Force."
You've given me something to think about as well when you said, "I hardly know how to define wickedness, I feel it when it comes near me but cannot easily define it as we all dip into behaviors that are unfortunate and hurt others and to say that any of those behaviors make one wicked might be too simplistic but you do know when you come across it." ~ Karen E.
Knowing "it" (being wickedness) when you come across "it" is being forearmed. Being forearmed is being equipped to eradicate "it".
HUGS and THANKS for reading and adding your introspective thoughts. I love hearing your commentaries on all of our writings.
Your Friend,
Rene
A disturbance of the Force - now that is an interesting term. I understand exactly what you mean.
It is a perfect term for certain.
L O L and BIG HUGS Rose and Karen ~ I'm glad I have you both as "friends". {smiles}.
Rene, I am so glad to have you as a friend. It has been great reading your work this weekend.
Hi Karen! ~ I'm glad you are enjoying the poetics ~ I've been on a roll writing, and I'm glad I have friends like you to read and give me your thoughts. It means a lot to me. I'll be over to your place to SEE what you've created NEW! ~ L O L.
Good poem, full range. Photo sets it off nicely.
Hi Vickie ~ I thank you for your kind comments.
from wicked places
that hide behind faces
that have not the
KNOWLEDGE
of LOVE
At first I felt 'guilty' when I read about the 'eel' reference because I eat Unagi and enjoy it. It's a rare treat that I relish. I think NOT about what an 'eel' feels.
Looking deeper into what you wrote, you summed it up in the line about not knowing the knowledge of love.
Thank you Rene. An intriguing piece of writing.
ahahaha ~ Thank you Desert Lover ~ For your kind words and introspective thoughts on this poetic piece.
I'm laughing about your eating "eel"...too funny! Maybe the eel whispered this poetic piece to me from the other side ~ ahahahah! I suppose the eel may one day tell us of it's adventures in your belly ~ ahahah! This might be the framework for a good animation film. "The Eats of the Sea." ~ You heard it here first folks!
It is true that the wicked KNOW not the KNOWLEDGE of LOVE ~ that is exactly why they are "wicked."
Thank you so much for reading this and telling your story about the eel ~ L O L.
ab...solutely...INCENDIARY.
Thomas, Thomas, Thomas ~ A BIG HUG to you! You've made me go to the dictionary ~ ahahah . . .
Incendiary, meaning "capable of causing fire".
Well shut up!!!! ~ ahahahah. Thanks.
this is great! thanks for sharing!
Thanks Ashley ~ Good to SEE you!
excellent, you should publish this for pay, I think it is that good.
Carol ~ You make me really humble you know. {smiles}. Thank you very much for reading this poetic work. I value your thoughts...
I do have a lot of poems published in the Library of Congress in several books, and one in a book in tribute to OBAMA -- with more to come ~ God willing. L O L.
One day, I'll put all of my poetics in one book and publish them. I write poetics as the Spirit moves me, so I have tons of paper filled with poetics. May need to GO GREEN this year! ~ ahahahh. Talk to you soon!
that is cool hon
and I call it as I see it I always have
I love it when you pick up the pen and rhythm.

And Jennifer ~ Always feel free to put the LINK to your Group in the comment section on my poetics when you mention it. I'm a very HAPPY MEMBER of your Gather Group, and I know that all the other Poets will love your Group!
I don't like to advertise it because I want it to remain small and have the feeling of a close knit family, but thank you.
Very good, thanks.
Wow Rene' pure wisdom and so beautifully said.
I agree with the others above, beautifully said.
Thank you three friends of mine for your comments and taking the time to read this poetic work ~ Paul, Haim and Renda...
BIG HUGS!
A persnickety devil of a poem:) First it lulls you with words akin to a children's rhyme and then pounces upon you out of the shadows of the darkness.
There is no rest for the wicked - charming thought:) - I like it, Renee!
Rose ~ Most "talented" in the Land . . . L O L ~ Thank you very much.
I love this one, too.
Shelbia ~ Thanks. I appreciate you reading the latest poetics I've published. I enjoy hearing what you have to say ~ Poet. {smiles}.
Hi Rene! I thoroughly enJOYed the format used to convey your message to the wicked and it surely causes one to think about being wronged, and being wrong.
Hey Ruth! ~ I was just reading some of your UNIQUE poetics. Thank you for commenting on this piece.
This poetic work, like most of my poetry, contains a double~edged sword. Thank you for noting it ~ L O L.
Rene - I am fan of Sushi as well although not so much on Eel. My first impressions were that this may be a piece against Sushi eaters ;) but then I started to get the drift. You should turn this into a fairy tale movie!
Hey Jai ~ It is always good to SEE YOU! You've given me a GOOD IDEA about the Fairy Tale Movie ~ hmmmm ~ I'm SEEing it in my mind's eye.
M. C. Desert Lover (above) commenting and felt "guilty" for eating Unagi. L O L ~ I think that this poetic work has that kind of a pull on people when they read it. I told Desert Lover that the eel may have just felt the VIBES, and just maybe the eel whispered this poetic piece to me from the other side ~ ahahahah! This just cracks me up thinking about it.
I really do think you may have something there Jai ~ about the MOVIE ~ An animated eel tale from the depths. A smash hit and a cool take on a species that hits the belly more often than thought about (normally) that is.
Thank you for stopping by! [I'll make a NOTE of your inside tips ~ <wink!>
THANKS MUCH for your kind comments.
We never know when we are the eel fated to be eaten, or the hunter after the eel. Such is life; such is fate.
Only you could make an eel description beautiful.
Thank you for reading this and commenting my friend till the end ~ smiles & HUGS.
