Sounds like an awsome experience. We have several Japanese Steak Restaurant's hear in Connecticut they are very fun.

We have something like that here too. They don't throw rice but they do throw shrimp at you and youu are supposed to catch it with your mouth. I miss everytime though.

The Bennihana Restaurants in Los Angeles offer the same "entertaining chefs."

I used to do lunch at the one in the Marina years ago. Then I located another in the Wilshire-Fairfax area which I enjoy even more. The tables are communal, so you meet new people as you enjoy the performance.

For dinner, I like the intimacy of Yamishira. Japanese cuisine is light and delectable for the most part.

If you are ever in LA, you'll want to try both.
