The War of the Birds
This misty Boyup Brook morning while walking with my dogs; I witnessed a dogfight above my head. A twentyeight parrot was screeching along, and on it's tail was a wattle bird. As I watched I could see that the wattlebird had it's beak firmly clamped on the tail of the parrot and that they were losing height. In fact they they in danger of colliding with me. Fortunately bothbirds realised the danger, and the wattle bird released its grip on the parrot and broke off broke off. They then both flew off to the safety of their respective treea and peace was re - established. Seing such sights is one of the advantages of living in Boyup Brook.
