How can you get your paws on this exclusive prize? Simply tell us why YOU deserve to win, and you could be pickin' and grinnin' before you know it.

 

This Billy Ray giveaway is taking place in our Gather Essentials: Music group. Here's how to enter:

1. First, you must be a member of the Gather Essentials: Music group on Gather. Join now - it's FREE!

2. After you've completed the group registration, publish your brief story describing why YOU should win an acoustic guitar autographed by Billy Ray Cyrus. Just follow these simple sfileId:3096224744286453;size:inter;teps (multiple entries are allowed):

  • Click "Publish" at the top of any Gather page
  • Select Publish an Article
  • Draft (or copy and paste) your essay into the text box; your submission must be 250 words or less, and you may include an image if you would like
  • In the Tag field, you must include the word "signature," separated from any other tags by a comma; then click "Continue"

  • In the Who can view my article field, select "Everyone" and also the "Gather Essentials: Music" group 

  • Click "Publish"

I was not a country fan at all, but I went to see him in Pittsburgh, PA and loved him. He turned a noncountry music listener to an more open minded country music fan.

My family, Aunts Uncles Cousins Grandparents, used to get together every weekend. The highlight was always Saturday night when we would play guitars and sing. At 14 I learned how to play so I could stay up and play with the group. After my grandparents passed, things changed and we no longer got together as much. I would love the opportunity to play again.

Billy Ray is far from being washed up!! He's matured and his music is just as great as it always was. He's a wonderfully talented family man, with good values. I love seeing him around on regular basis!! I hope he sticks around for along time!

Billy Ray Cyrus is my all-time favorite Country Singer. I have never seen him in concert...darn...but I have watched him on TV every chance I get. I loved him in Doc. Billy Ray is a great talent and also a wonderful family man with a good Christian background. I love him and would love to have something he thought enough of to autograph!

To have that guitar would be the most exciting thing that could happen to me. I love Billy Rays, songs and the show Doc. He puts his christian background into every aspect of the show. It is so refreshing to watch or listen to someone in the spotlight that isnt affraid to show their love for God.

I also find it quite interesting that there is no mention of the BRAND name of this "gift" guitar. I'm guessing that it is probably some inferior instrument made in China.

My g/f 13 y/o son wants to learn to play the guitar so his father bought him a very cheap used guitar, but doesn't help him learn. So, more than 40 years since I last played I have taken up guitar again to help him learn. He and I learning together and his interest has increased. I think this would be nice to present to him once he learns to play and starts to enjoy playing. Right now it is still work for the both of us.

Being from Kentucky I am certainly a fan of Billy Ray Cyrus even back in the achy breaky days! My four year granddaughter is a huge fan of his daughter and also loves to watch him on the Hanna Montanna show! We would both love to own this wonderful guitar and I would love to show it off to my first grade studens who are also fans of both Cyrus and his daughter!

I have awonderful brother that is ALLWAYS doing things for me and geting things for my Mom, my Dad, and me. He love guitars and is realy good at playing them! I just want to repay him for all he does for me and my mom and dad and i know he will love this so i hope i win!!

When I worked at a radio station, Billy's song "Achey Breaky Heart" was so hot, we had to give it air time ONCE an hour....I got so darned sick of that song, it took me a loooong time to listen to it again. lol

But, I have to admit, when he sang with Dolly......they were great together!

My daughter Serena is a great big fan of Billy Ray Cyrus! She watches Hannah Montana almost everyday (that's how she got to know about him).
Serena has been singing Hannah's songs for a long time, and now she's singing Billy Ray's songs.
I think it's reallty cool that he's made such a great comeback! : )

I think Billy Ray is alot deeper than he lets on. He'd rather be back home than in Los Angeles. At a point a few years back he did Gospel and I believe he learned from it. He sets an example of High standards and having respect for yourself. He could not "Dance with the stars," erotically, which is what was expected of him. He stood his ground and didn't do what felt wrong to him. He stated that those kinds of movements were like something privately belonging in the bedroom not on display in public. I believe the love he has for his family and respect for being appropriate and true won out, as it always should.

I'm somewhat of an amateur folicular anthropologist. I'm devoting a significant percentage of my efforts to protecting the mullet. Mullet's are endangered species - rarely occuring in nature. It would be helpful to win this context and have the opportunity to coax Mr. Cyrus into sporting that couffure one more time.

My Dad is 75, disabled and in poor health. He has always loved country music. He was lucky enough to meet Billy Ray at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville. He was so impressed by him, as a person, not just an artist. He talks about him all the time.

It would mean the world for me to win and be able to give the guitar to my Dad...while he is still here.

I've grown up with Billy Ray Cyrus, from Achey Breaky Heart to DAncing with the Stars, and now this new cd. Mr. Cyrus has always defied all odds and constantly reinvented himself keeping his talents fresh and his fans eagerly wanting more! More than anything, I just want to say keep up the good work and I am a fan who supports you with whatever venue you choose as an artist! You keep me wanting more!

i wish i could win ,because i always wanted to be a singer and play guitar with billy ray cyrus, sig. on the guitar this would be the best gift i could give to my daughter. she, is 15 and she has wanted to be a country singer since she was able to talk (this was my dream to, scince i was very young). but i have as spinal problem, im unable to play guitar.we can not afford a guitar either. i pray her dreams are not taken away as mine were. and billy ray is our #1 singer,in our hearts . alot of your songs hit home on a familiar tune. so i hope and wish, my daughter to win. thank you for your time. nancyfabric
