BLUE Lobsters?

I've never even heard of, much less seen a blue lobster in my life. Growing up on the Coast of the Gulf, I was around a lot of crustaceans and LOVE seafood. This was an interesting article found at :

The lobsters turn blue due to a genetic mutation. Fortunately for us, if he had been boiled his outer shell would have turned red. Makes you wonder...

I grew up near the coast of New England. These blue lobsters come up in pots fairly frequently (even though the stats make it look like a rarity, consider the number of lobsters caught in New England). There is a HUGE one in a museum near Bar Harbor, ME. I don't know if this particular genetic mutation occurs in southern, warm-water lobsters. I dive in the Caribbean and have never heard of a southern-type blue lobster being caught.
