As I fixed my breakfast this morning,I struggle with getting my raisin bread the color that I like in my toaster ,I used the stove,I like it that way,so no big deal. Some days/nights I just want to throw a slice of bread in the toaster, for a snack and this is where my problem exsist.I don`t know if anyone else has had this experience,my toasters never works very long,three-six months tops.I use to buy the more expensive toaster.I decided if their disposible, I need to buy the cheaper.I only put bread or bagels in my toaster, two slice/wide is all I want. Can you give me some suggestions, perhaps you have a toaster thats toasted for years.I need help. Thanks

Your most recent comment just posted. It sounds like you've come up with a solution.
Esther,You wouldn`t happen to know the brand?
While watching Good Eats I did see a single slot toaster which you could put two slices of bread or two slices of a bagel in at a time, that was the one the host said he liked. I bought one at target because it looked nice and would take the bagels as well, I don't use it every day but have had it for going on three years now. Its a Westinghouse, white and stainless not over the top but still not a cheap one either.
