Do-Good Haters Beware

It amazes me how people will fight-fight-fight OTHER peoples' attempts to do good.

Oprah Winfrey not only donates tens of millions of dollars to build a school in South Africa for young impoverished girls, but gives her own time and energy to the effort - and SHE gets FLACK from people for "not giving her money to American causes?" 

Every year, my family works on a project with a local service organization, providing food and gifts for local families at Christmastime.  I'm sure you would not be surprised to know how many people - especially the "volunteers" who really just come to kibbitz and socialize (not work) - run off at the mouth, complaining that this family gets too much, or that family shouldn't get as much this year because they get a care package from the Salvation Army.

Paleeeze!  Shut the hell up! 

People are in NEED everywhere we look. In the richest communities, in middle-class America, in the slums of South Africa. Yes, there are folks out there corrupting the "system." Get over it.  Move on. Do NOT let that stop you from serving others, and serving them whole-heartedly.  

If Oprah wants to help poor African girls, rich caucasian men, middle-class Hispanic transvestites - BY ALL MEANS GO HELP!  I admire her for NOT letting the negative people of the world, with nothing but spite and hate in their hearts, get her down.

E85 supporters, get your football helmets on, because the "do-good haters" are out there on the gridiron. Put on the shoulder pads, and plug in the iPod with your favorite songs, too!  It's time to MAKE SOME PROGRESS, man, and stir up as much dust as we can. 

The only way to make the negativity subside is to make sure we killem with kindness and MAKE TRACKS!

GOAL: 100% FUEL INDEPENDENCE IN 5 YEARS!
