We have been planning to go to a berry picking farm but haven't got around to it. So today we had a makeshift blackberry picking adventure.
A local business complex has lots of "wild" undeveloped land around it. The sidewalks are lined with blackberry bushes.

Here are some pickers.
The locals were very curious. A tiny chipmunk peered out at us beneath the bushes pictured above. Unfortunately, I couldn't get a pic of it before it scampered away. A caterpillar crawled on Frog's hand. Birds chattered overhead. Don't worry we left plenty for them!
The berries are in the freezer and we had blackberry shortcake with whipped cream for dessert...Yum!
