Scott McClellan, Former Bush Aide, Tells of Deceit in the Bush Whitehouse

If you haven't heard the news, former Bush aide, Scott McClellan has spilled the beans in a new book entitled "What Happened". He tells of the lies and deceit that led us into the Iraq war. Finally clearing his conscience, McClellan's book is sure to be a best seller and will also have impact on the November election. You're sure to hear spin from the Whitehouse and attacks on McClellan will be forthcoming. But I'm glad that he had the courage to tell the truth. I only wish he would have done it sooner.

Golly, there have been so many good role models for our children during the Bush Administration. [wink...wink...] Why am I not surprised to learn just how deep the rabbit hole of corruption goes? Yes, I admit I have taken the 'red pill' (cp. Matrix). :)

Isn't it funny how, even though every single one of the many "former disgruntled employees" that have left this filthy corrupt white house have repeated their own versions of the exact same storyline over the past 6-1/2 years or so, but it's always "just sour grapes" when the latest book comes out?

This bush worship cult is a deranged, delusional, twisted group of individuals. We should all give thanks to the Almighty that their numbers are very few right now, and dwindling fast.

Members of the choir will rush to spend their money on a book that tells nothing new. While the members of the opposite choir will sing "backstabbing".

Aniway, at the end of the day, the week or the month, nothing will change in our world. Independents don't care about books bashing either party. The only substantial change I foresee is: Scott McClellan will be richer.

I refuse to buy his book unless he testifies under oath, and I think that is an idea worth spreading.

He may be called to testifiy under oath if Scott Fitzgerald calls him because of the Valerie Plame case. It's still possible that he could be indicted for that. I personally don't believe that he would lie about this. But he has been very careful in choosing his words.

I don't think he is lying either. I just want him to do something about what he knows besides making a lot of money off of it. If he came out earlier something might have been done about it. I believe he's been called to testify by Henry Waxman.

I agree. He was lacking in courage. There are still things that can be done even now. I don't care if he makes money. I would just like to see justice served.

True... the truth benefits all of us! Granted and agreed.

To democrats, this is all the true they ever wanted to be revealed about Bush. To Republicans this is as true as economical benefit abuse by a traitor. To independents this may be or not may be the whole truth. Therefore...

At the end of the day, at the end of the week, at the end of the month... there will not be change in either side. The only substantial change I foresee is: Scott McClellan will be richer.

So why does that bother you so much? Maybe he'll do something good with the money to make up for his willingness to look the other way and not say anything when he was part of the administration.

I do think that this book will have repurcussions and especially will have an effect on the election. There is so much deceit, scandal and dirty politics going on with the Republicans. Robert Wexler's book is coming out too. That should add some fuel to the fire.

Sadly, Diane's right - there are crooked and twisty power-brokers on both sides of the political aisle. I think what stuns so many people about the Bush White House is the extent to which they commit acts of brazen illegality, deceit and profiteering in the public eye, and then say (through mouthpieces like Scott McClellan) "No, that's not what we're doing" or (when it comes to practices like water-boarding), "What we do isn't torture, so therefore we don't torture prisoners."

It has been lest than 1 month since the book came out and it has already been buried and forgotten by the media. Hard core democrats are still enjoying the book... the rest of the USA and the world are focus on something different.

Ironically, Bush's best talent will serve a useful purpose. Who better to spin disinformation than the grand master himself. We need disinformation to cover up the Wall Street Melt down. I fear I may have something good to say about our glorious President. He's absolutely the best man for this job.
