Did you know that today marks 225 years since the ratification of articles of peace, which ultimately led to the end of the Revolutionary War with Great Britain?
Hard to believe we've been fighting wars that long...but not hard to believe that even though the conflicts of today are very different, we still long for and strive for peace.
Let's pause and take a moment of thanks for every veteran, past and present, from our Revolutionary forefathers to the Operation Enduring Freedom veterans of today ...and every soldier still actively fighting to protect our freedom.
I am humbled at the thought of these great sacrifices.
