Veteran's Thanks

As a veteran I humbly thank all of you who have gone out of your way today to thank us for our efforts & sacrifices.

I now want to ask a favor. Please do not let the brave men & women in uniform have theirefforts be for nothing. Their drive, their patirotism, their ideals & their willingness to serve & die if need be should not be second guessed by those who are not there and do not truly know the spirit that lights their lives and makes them who & what they are. Allow them to serve as they see fit not as you wish that it were. Allow them to have their honor, their service & their existence be about as well as stand for something that they can be proud of in their later years. Death, maimimg & mutilation are by products of combat but they are aslo what these men & women know that they will face and are ready to face when the need arises. Before you decide to take it upon yourself  to act supposedly upon their behalf, think about how they feel & how they want you to feel.
