As the U.S. observes Veterans Day, we would like take time to honor those who served our country. As we pause to thank our soldiers, it’s also important to remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice. TODAY I’d like to tell you about a special and somber place on Gather called “The Remembrance Project”.
The Remembrance Project is a sacred place to honor fallen soldiers. This group is a collective memorial to those service-members who gave it all for our freedom. We invite you to share your memories, post pictures, and pay tribute.
TODAY we remember… freedom is not free.
Also, Gather member TK Rosevear is compiling a veterans remembrance list. If you’re a vet, you’re invited to stop by and connect with other vets on Gather. TK asks you leave your:
- branch of service
- rank you held upon discharge
- the year in which served
- if you were drafted or enlisted.
Also TODAY, you’re invited to visit another important group on Gather, Veterans.gather.com. This is a community for America's heroes - veterans, active service-members, family & friends. Join in the conversation, remember our vets, and help make a difference.
You can see countless images, articles and Videos from Spartan who was a Navy Combat Cameraman in Vietnam, and has since covered conflicts in Israel, Angola, Beirut, Grenada, Panama, Rwanda, Somalia, Desert Storm, Sudan, Afghanistan and Iraq.
Finally TODAY, please take a moment to read the stirring tributes written by Gold Star Mother, Pam Adams, of SFC Brent Allen Adams, KIA 12/1/05, Ramadi, Iraq. Pam is a new Gather member who is “committed to having Brent remembered for who he was while sharing this earth with us all and committed to having the world never forget any of our fallen.”
Pam our thoughts are with you TODAY and always.
