[ In our history as a nation there is a unique group of soldiers who fought, bled, died & protected the nation. These men were referred to by the Plain's Indians as "Buffalo Soldiers" and that appelation stuck with them. They were combat troops of the first water. Mounted as cavalry untis & as mounted infantry units these Negro troopers were a mainstay in the old west. More needs to bt said about them & their contributuions to this nation! ]
