Best Summer Music Fests (Living or Dead)

It's that time of the year... time to unearth your hippie skirt and hemp sandals and load up the old SUV for a few days experiencing more music than your brain can take in at one time. I've already kicked off my warm weather season listening with a trip to MerleFest, Coachella is past and Kerrville's on the horizon. There are lots of regional fests to look forward to as well. What's on your list? Where have you gone or where are you going? Who makes you want to pick up your guitar or swirl the night away under the wild summer sky? Air out your picnic blanket, pack the bottled water and sunscreen, lay back and enjoy the tuneful sounds of the season.

I had friends who went last year and I'll be danged if I'm gonna sit through another year of,"you shoulda been there," stories!
(i'd be more likely to lurk around Gillian Welch's conveyance like a gargoyle until asked to leave, or mowed down like a bug)
Add Lucinda Williams and a reunion of Uncle Tupelo and call that one of the best concerts ever!
a summer fest to mention, one that's in the running for best name, the Clamfest in Yarmouth, Maine. I have not been to that one but friends are playing there this year so, it's a thought.
