On Day 32 (June 20, 2009) after we went to the Detroit Tigers game at Comerica Park, as the 17th game/ballpark of our All the Ballparks Road Trip 2009 we drove by what was left of Tiger Stadium, where the Tigers played before Comerica Park. They were in the process of the final demolition of it at the time, so it does look kind of sad from some angles, but I am glad we caught it before it was entirely gone.

Viewed from Interstate on way to the Detroit Tigers game

It kind of looks like it is still a usable ballpark from this angle.

Becoming more obvious it is being demolished with its fence.
Below are photos of the stands remaining and the obvious aspects of it being demolished.

View of the side facing main street it was on. It looks rather in tact from this angle.

Read more about the Tiger Stadium part of our road trip in my post on my trip blog here. I am now back from the trip and I am trying to catch up on the photo essays, but still most of the in depth information on our various adventures is on the trip blog. If you are at all into baseball and ballparks I think you will enjoy taking a look at my All the Ballparks Road Trip 2009 blog.
